How We Package & Ship Your Perfume Safely

How We Package & Ship Your Perfume Safely

A damaged or leaking bottle on arrival is one of the most common frustrations with buying perfume online. Here’s exactly how we work to prevent that, and what to do in the rare case something still goes wrong.

Our Packaging Approach

  • Every bottle ships in its original retail box before going into outer packaging, giving it a first layer of protection against knocks.
  • Secure void-fill or protective wrap is used inside every parcel to stop bottles moving in transit, which is the most common cause of breakage.
  • Multiple bottles are packed separately from each other, not just loose together, to prevent them knocking against one another.
  • Outer boxes are sized appropriately for the order rather than using an oversized box with excess empty space, which is a common cause of items shifting in transit.

Shipping From the UK

We’re based at Tramway Offices, Rochdale, and ship every order from within the UK — no international customs delays or extended transit times that come with importing stock. See our full shipping policy for delivery timeframes and costs.

If Something Arrives Damaged

While we take real care with every order, transit damage can occasionally still happen. If it does:

  1. Photograph the parcel and item as soon as you notice the issue, before disposing of any packaging.
  2. Contact us directly with your order number and photos.
  3. We’ll resolve it under our returns and refunds policy — a replacement or refund, not a runaround.

Why This Matters More for Perfume Specifically

Glass bottles and pressurised spray mechanisms are more fragile in transit than most parcel contents, and a leaking bottle can affect other items in the same box. It’s a genuine risk category for shipping, which is exactly why we treat packaging as seriously as we do the product itself.
