Dior Sauvage Alternatives UK: Best Arabic Perfumes Compared (Under £25)

Lattafa Asad eau de parfum 100ml bottle

Which Arabic perfume smells like Dior Sauvage? It depends on which Sauvage you mean. The Eau de Toilette is a fresh, peppery bergamot-and-ambroxan scent, while the richer versions lean spicy and amber. In our range, Lattafa Fakhar (£20.00) is the pick if you like the fresh style, and Lattafa Asad (£22.00) is the pick if you like the intense, spicy side. Neither is a copy. Both sit in the same family at a fraction of the price.

Why people search for Sauvage alternatives

Dior Sauvage is the UK’s second most searched perfume, at about 84,000 monthly searches in Scento’s October 2026 analysis of Ahrefs data, behind only Baccarat Rouge 540. Across Europe it is number one in 18 of 30 countries. Volumes are modelled estimates and count searches for the perfume itself, not only alternatives, but the scale explains why “like Sauvage” is such a common request. Read the Scento study here.

What Sauvage smells like

Dior’s own description centres on Calabrian bergamot, Sichuan pepper and an ambroxan base (see Dior’s description as reproduced by Dillard’s). Retailer listings add lavender, geranium, cedar and labdanum. In plain terms: sharp sunny citrus, a peppery tingle and a clean, dry, woody base. Ambroxan, the synthetic ambergris-style molecule behind that base, is explained in our ambroxan guide.

Dior has also released richer versions, including Sauvage Elixir, which are spicier and warmer. That is why “alternative to Sauvage” really means two different shopping lists.

Fresh and peppery: if you like the original Sauvage

Lattafa Fakhar

Notes on our page: bergamot and pink pepper on top, geranium and lavender in the heart, and an ambroxan, patchouli and musk base. That bergamot, pepper and ambroxan structure is the same skeleton as Sauvage. Our product page compares Fakhar with Prada Luna Rossa Carbon rather than Sauvage, so think of it as the same fresh, aromatic family rather than a line-for-line match. It is sharp, modern and clean rather than sweet, and our page lists typical wear of six to seven hours. Read our Fakhar vs Luna Rossa Carbon comparison for more.

Fakhar Platin and Fakhar Extrait

Platin (£19.99) is fresher and more polished, with crisp citrus and marine notes over a clean musk-woods base. It is the least peppery option here. Extrait (£16.99) keeps the clean aromatic opening but adds a deeper woody-musk base for more richness and staying power, which makes it the better evening choice of the Fakhar family.

Rich and spicy: if you like Sauvage Elixir

Lattafa Asad

Our page describes Asad as Lattafa’s take on the intense, dark-masculine territory made famous by Sauvage Elixir, and fragrance communities widely recommend it as one of the closest affordable options. Notes: pink pepper, saffron and black pepper on top, lavender and cinnamon in the heart, and amberwood, vanilla and tonka in the base. It is not a laboratory-identical clone, but the spicy-amber-vanilla character and strong presence are in the same family. Our page lists very strong performance, so it suits evenings and cold weather. For a head-to-head, see Lattafa Asad vs Dior Sauvage Elixir.

Lattafa Asad Bourbon

Asad Bourbon (£24.00) pushes the same base sweeter and boozier: pink pepper, mirabelle plum and lavender on top, cinnamon and spice in the heart, and vanilla, cocoa and amberwood in the base. It is more often compared with Azzaro The Most Wanted than with Sauvage, so choose it if you like the spicy-amber style but want a gourmand finish. Our Asad vs Asad Bourbon guide explains the difference.

The Kingdom Men

The Kingdom Men (£22.49) is built in the spirit of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male Elixir: lavender and bergamot on top, a spicy herbal heart and a vanilla-tonka base. Lavender links it to Sauvage, but the vanilla-tonka base makes it warmer and sweeter, so treat it as a cold-weather evening option.

Honest limits

These are comparisons by style and listed notes, not claims of identical formulas. We have not run lab tests, skin chemistry varies, and Sauvage itself exists in several versions. Opened perfume cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged (see our returns policy), so use the notes and our comparison tool before you buy.
