Jawhara is a new Arabian-inspired fragrance brand sold online at Boots, with five unisex eau de parfums at £14.99 for 100ml each, according to UK press coverage. This guide explains what has been reported about the range, then compares it honestly with Arabic perfume specialists such as Lattafa, including the cheaper options that cost the same or less.

Disclosure: Arabic Aura is an Arabic perfume retailer, so we have an interest in this comparison. We have not smelled or tested Jawhara. Everything we say about it comes from press coverage, much of which carries affiliate links, and may have changed since publication, so check the current Boots page before you buy. Our own prices, notes and stock were checked on the Arabic Aura shop on 17 October 2026.

What is Jawhara at Boots?

Regional press coverage from May to July 2026, including Express & Star and The Star, describes Jawhara, a name meaning jewel, as a new brand drawing on Arabic perfumery. It launched online at Boots with five 100ml eau de parfums, each £14.99, designed to be unisex. Bottles are reported to carry black labels with English and Arabic gold lettering. Reports also say the range uses ingredients such as oud, amber, musk, vanilla, saffron and myrrh.

At launch, the range was reported as online-only at Boots, with coverage mentioning a wider in-store rollout. We have not confirmed current in-store availability, so check Boots directly. The Star also reported that Boots delivery costs £3.95 or is free on orders over £25.

Why Arabian-inspired perfume is moving onto the high street

Spate’s 2026 fragrance report lists gourmand scents, vanilla and Arabian-inspired perfumes among the fastest-growing fragrance trends. A high-street launch at a budget price is a logical next step for that demand. We do not have Search Console data connected for this site, so we cannot quote search volumes, and we have not invented any.

What to compare: Jawhara vs specialist Arabic brands

  • Price per millilitre. Jawhara at £14.99 for 100ml works out at about 15p per millilitre.
  • Transparency. Does the seller publish a full note list and not just a mood?
  • Range depth. Five fragrances is a focused launch. Specialists such as Lattafa sell far larger catalogues.
  • Track record. Jawhara is a new brand, while Lattafa and others have long-running lines and years of community reviews.
  • Provenance and returns. Check who the seller is, what they say about authenticity and what the returns policy covers. See our guide to Arabic perfume retailers compared.

Price check: what else costs £15 or less?

Jawhara’s headline price is not unique in the Arabic perfume category. These Lattafa fragrances were at or below it in the Arabic Aura shop on 17 October 2026.

Matching each Jawhara style to Arabic Aura alternatives

These matches are based on listed notes only. A similar note list does not mean an identical smell, and we cannot compare them to Jawhara from experience.

Sweet Dates: look at Khamrah

Sweet Dates is reported to combine vanilla, raspberry, date and caramelised amber. If the date and vanilla combination is what appeals, Lattafa Khamrah (£25.00) lists cinnamon, saffron and walnut on top, dates and tonka bean in the heart and vanilla, tobacco and sandalwood in the base. Khamrah Qahwa (£25.00) pushes coffee to the front. Our Khamrah comparison explains the difference.

Golden Nectar: look at Yara or Eclaire

Golden Nectar is reported as bergamot, pear, tuberose and vanilla flower over soft musk. For a soft, sweet, vanilla-led feel, Lattafa Yara (£20.00) lists orchid, heliotrope and tangerine, a gourmand accord with tropical fruits, and a vanilla-musk-sandalwood base. Lattafa Eclaire (£22.00) is the milkier, creamier route.

Sultan Rose: look at Mohra Silky Rose or Velvet Rose

Sultan Rose is reported as saffron, peony and vanilla incense. For a simpler, softer rose, Mohra Silky Rose (£14.99) opens with fresh rose petals over a powdery heart and smooth musk. For a darker rose, Lattafa Velvet Rose (£16.99) adds patchouli, suede and oud. Our best rose perfume guide covers more.

Amberwood Nomad: look at Oud Mood

Amberwood Nomad is reported as cardamom, myrrh and cedarwood. Lattafa Oud Mood (£18.00) lists nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron on top, sandalwood, oud wood and leather in the heart and vanilla and amber below. For resin-led picks, see our incense perfume guide.

Oud Velvet

We did not find a published note list for Oud Velvet in the coverage we read, so we will not guess. If you like the sound of a smooth oud, our guide to Arabian oud explains what to expect from oud-inspired fragrances at this price.

Should you buy from Boots or an Arabic perfume specialist?

Boots offers convenience and a familiar retailer, which matters if you want to buy alongside your usual shop. A specialist gives you more choice, longer-running lines with more community reviews and, usually, more detailed note information. Neither is automatically better, and at £14.99 the risk on Jawhara is low. If you are buying from any online seller, read what to check about returns before you order and your Arabic perfume returns rights in the UK.

How to try before you commit

The cheapest way to test any new scent is with samples or small sets. Our guide to Arabic perfume discovery sets explains the options. You can also use our Find My Perfume tool to filter by mood, or the compare tool to put two bottles side by side.
