Perfume is hard to describe honestly. Wear time, projection and “quality” depend on your skin, the weather and how you apply it. This page explains how Arabic Aura talks about fragrance performance, what our descriptions are based on, and what we will not claim.
Where the information on this site comes from
- Product information. The notes, sizes, price and how a fragrance is described on a product page are the details we hold for that item. We present them as descriptions, not as results of our own laboratory testing.
- Editorial commentary. When an article gives a view, such as which fragrance feels quieter or warmer, it is an editorial reading based on the notes and general perfumery knowledge. We try to label it as opinion.
- General guidance. Advice on application, storage and note families reflects widely used perfumery practice, not proprietary research.
What we mean by wear time
Where we give hours, treat them as rough ranges, not guarantees. Some come from the wording on product pages and some are estimates based on a fragrance’s structure. When we have no figure, we describe the composition instead of inventing one. Oud, amber and musk bases tend to last longer than fresh citrus openings, but individual results vary widely. Longevity, projection and sillage
- Longevity: how long you can still detect a fragrance.
- Projection: how far it radiates from you.

These are separate qualities, and we try not to blur them.
Why your result may differ from ours

What we do not claim

- We do not guarantee that a fragrance will last a stated number of hours on you.
